Nasty Women Exhibition. Art Obscura, Las Cruces, NM: February 7, 2017 Organized in conjunction with other Nasty Women Exhibitions around the world and the Nasty Women Exhibition at the Knockdown Center in Maspeth, Queens, NY started by Roxanne Jackson and Jessamyn Fiore. The simultaneous group exhibitions demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify with being a Nasty Woman in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and immigrant rights. It also serves as a fundraiser to support organizations defending these rights.
